TRUE RIGHTEOUSNESS REVEALED:
Righteousness is our acceptance before God. It means to be able to pray and expect to be heard, with confidence. It means not be afraid of going to hell or suffering eternal damnation. Righteousness means that we are accepted in God’s house and that we can come boldly and get help when we need it. The question is “How do we get to that position with God?”
Many say it is by giving. Others think it is by fasting and praying. Could it be by preaching, winning souls and working for God?
There is what Paul and the prophets called the Righteousness of God. It is only by faith, and not by the works that we have done. Most of the things we do in trying to please God are not acceptable with Him as the way of making us worthy. Our giving and working for Him do not make us special with Him; only the faith we have in Christ Jesus His Son does that.
