THE KINGDOM LIFE
Christianity is not just about receiving the God of prosperity and having your problems solved; it is about the cutting of the umbilical cord that joins you to the environment. We must learn Christian culture.
This series explains the culture that should be found with Christianity. There is a Hittiteness and Amoriteness that characterize each person’s origin (Ez 16). The error in the lives of Christians is when the live with intact umbilical cords attaching them to the place of their natural origins. Paul Tillich’s word that culture is the cloak of religion is explained in this series.
There is a culture we must have in every aspect of life including how we spend money, use our time, run our endeavors, and even how we dress. The everyday living of life must reflect what indeed our religion is.
Our religion as Christians is summarized as follows:
Love for God
Love for God’s people and for the whole human race.
Living for the eternal future, a life after now, knowing that we will give account. This is before a righteous God who is currently teaching us His standards
The preaching of the kingdom
Respect for the rules of God’s kingdom.
